Ok maybe they are too young for that, but Shaina met up with her "boyfriend" Brendan today--who she will soon discover will become her best bud as they will both be cared for by the same nanny. Today's outing was a walk in the 65-degree weather to the Rockville Town Center.

(Not So) Terrible Two (Month)s

My how the time flies with an infant in the house.  Since last month, Shaina has grown much more alert, with lots of smiles as she explores the world around her.  She is gaining weight and growing rapidly.  And, perhaps most importantly (for mommy and daddy, at least), she has started to sleep through the night.

We're still waiting to see if her eyes will stay blue (although Ari insists there is some hazel/brown starting to show through).  And, of course, we're looking forward to everything else the next month will bring.

Shaina's Saturday Best

Shaina went to her first Shabbat service at Har Shalom this weekend. And that meant dressing for the occasion.

Shaina Meets "Banana"

Shaina has a visit from her favorite friends in Delaware -- Jen, Jim, and eight month old Anna "Banana".  What a difference six and a half months make!  Although we're not sure if Anna thought Shaina was a toy or a real baby.

Tummy Time

They say that, at six weeks, a baby is ready for some supervised tummy time. Shaina still is figuring it out, but she seems to be taking to it well.

She got rewarded with some activity time when it was all done.

A Windy City Welcome, Part II

Aunt Cheryl wasn't the only one who came to visit Shaina over the holidays.  Grandma Bonnie and Papa Rick also made the trip out from Chicago.

Small Milestones

We've come to learn that in parenting you celebrate even the smallest milestones. For Shaina, that means moving up to size 1 diapers and 3 month clothes.
