Shaina is Six Months Old!

Oh how time is flying by! I feel like it was just yesterday that we were bringing home little Shaina from the hospital, and today she turns 6 months old. She is now able to sit up on her own for the most part, although, she does topple over sometimes still if she doesn't lean forward enough. She also loves to hear her own voice, so that means we hear lots of loud shrieking. Shaina also recently discovered how to take her socks off--that's from watching her playmate Brendan do it all day long! Overall, she is a very happy baby, and she continues to sleep through the night, so that makes for happy parents, too! :)

Shaina's Second Name

On April 27, 2013, Shaina was officially given her Hebrew name--Leeba Tzvia-- during a lovely baby naming ceremony at Congregation Har Shalom in Potomac, Maryland (where we are members). Shaina was named after her late great-grandmother Sylvia Fox, and her late great-grandfather Leonard Burchman.

The Rabbi acknowledged that there were 4 generations present to witness this ceremony, and we are so grateful that we were able to celebrate this wonderful occasion with our families. Below are a few pictures from the day (since photography is not permitted in the sanctuary during the service).

Shaina Turns 5 Months!

We know that we are a few weeks late with this post, but here are some photos from when Shaina turned 5 months old. It's hard to believe how fast she is growing! We're thankful she isn't mobile quite yet, but we know that could change very soon...
